AllStar Heating & Cooling is looking for a part-time PTAC Shop / Warehouse Technician to join our established, family-owned HVAC/PTAC company.
This is a combination shop, warehouse, and PTAC support position. The primary responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing refrigerant problems on PTAC units brought into our shop, helping keep the warehouse organized, picking up parts and equipment, and assisting with PTAC-related work as needed.
This is not a regular residential field service technician position. Warranty refrigerant repairs are performed in our shop only on packaged terminal air conditioners brought in for repair.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair PTAC units brought into the shop
- Perform refrigerant-related repairs on PTAC units in the shop
- Replace PTAC refrigerant components as needed
- Locate and repair refrigerant leaks on PTAC units
- Contact manufacturers for warranty information and repair authorization
- Enter repair notes and work performed into company software
- Complete documentation needed for warranty billing
- Help organize and maintain the warehouse/shop area
- Receive, check in, and organize parts and equipment
- Pick up parts and equipment from suppliers as needed
- Load and unload PTAC units and equipment
- Occasionally assist with PTAC-related jobs, deliveries, pickups, or equipment handling as needed
Requirements:
- EPA certification required
- Valid driver’s license required
- Clean driving record required
- Experience with PTAC repair preferred
- Refrigerant repair experience.
- Ability to lift and move equipment safely
- Comfortable using basic software to enter notes and job information
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and follow repair procedures
- Must be able to maintain a professional and organized shop environment
Pay:
- Base hourly pay
- Additional bonus for each completed billable warranty PTAC refrigerant repair performed in the shop
- Pay structure will be reviewed based on experience and ability
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Work is scheduled based on shop, warehouse, and PTAC workload
- Summer is the busiest season
- Possibility of year-round work depending on workload and fit

Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
